Insecticidal Spray and Rinse Concentrate for Horses and Dogs
Permetrol is a versatile and effective insecticidal treatment designed to protect your horses and dogs from a variety of pests. Utilising the power of permethrin, a synthetic pyrethroid known for its potent insecticidal properties, Permetrol offers reliable control over common parasites and biting insects.
For Horses:
- Controls pyrethroid-sensitive flies, including buffalo fly (Haematobia irritans exigua) and stable fly (Stomoxys calcitrans).
- Manages biting insects such as midges (Culicoides spp.), aiding in the treatment of Queensland Itch.
For Dogs:
- Eliminates fleas (Ctenocephalides felis and Ctenocephalides canis) and ticks (adult Rhipicephalus spp.).
- Assists in the treatment of allergic dermatitis (summer eczema) caused by flea infestations.
Application Instructions:
Note: This product is not suitable for use on cats or animals under 12 weeks of age. Avoid applying diluted solutions containing methylated spirits to broken skin.
- Dogs: Dilute 10 mL of Permetrol per 400 mL of water. If rapid drying is desired, dilute with methylated spirits instead. Apply the solution thoroughly to the dog's coat, ensuring even coverage.
- Horses: Dilute 10 mL of Permetrol per 400 mL of water. For general fly control, spray as needed. To manage Queensland Itch, apply the solution twice weekly until symptoms subside, then continue as required to maintain relief.
Environmental Control:
To maximise flea control, it's essential to treat your pet's environment:
- Clean bedding and resting areas regularly.
- Apply the diluted Permetrol solution to these areas to eliminate lingering pests.
- Vacuum carpets and surrounding areas frequently to remove eggs and larvae.
- Treat all household pets with appropriate products to prevent reinfestation.
Withholding Period (Horses):
Do not use on horses intended for human consumption.
Permetrol provides a comprehensive solution to protect your animals from irritating and harmful pests, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
