Our Story

Northside Produce is owned by Brian and Jean Gordon, both of whom come from rural and agricultural backgrounds in the Bundaberg area.

Brian Gordon

For Brian, you could say his career has come full circle – albeit with decades of experience acquired along the way. He started work at the original Northside Produce in 1980 and worked there until 1997.

During that period, the business was purchased by Primac and after leaving Bundaberg, Brian continued with Primac Elders in senior management roles in various locations around the country.

Brian also has a Masters Degree in Business Administration (MBA) and a Diploma of Applied Science (Horticulture) from the University of Queensland.

Jean Gordon

Jean also worked for Primac starting with them in 1994 at the Bundaberg location and moving around with Brian during his career, developing an in-depth knowledge of rural products and business administration.

Jean is also a licensed real estate agent and established a boutique agency in Brisbane several years prior to her and Brian deciding to return to Bundaberg. Real estate sales will form part of the offering of this business, and Jean is happy to provide qualified advice and assistance where appropriate.

The New Northside Produce

In early 2017, the premises previously occupied by Norco became available and Brian and Jean saw an opportunity to return to Bundaberg and create the business they had always wanted, serving the local community with quality products and advice.
